Djon Africa (2018)

Raised in Portugal, Miguel—known as Tibars or “Djon África”—is a gentle Rastafarian drifting through life on good vibes and romance. That changes when a stranger points out his striking resemblance to a man he’s never met: his father, described as “a player and a crook.” Curiosity sparks, but it’s his grandmother who finally cracks the silence, revealing his father’s prison time, Miguel’s lonely toddler years, and the banishment to Cape Verde.
