Journey of Hope (1990)

Haydar, living in an eastern Turkish village, hears stories of Turks thriving financially in Switzerland and persuades his wife Meryem that they must leave. They sell their livestock and small plot to afford passage for two. Planning to leave their seven children with the eldest and his parents, Haydar’s father insists he take one son to get an education in Europe. Will any of them ever reach that promised land?
