Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai (2003)

A suspended police officer travels to Calgary in pursuit of a criminal, only to find himself falling for the daughter of a wealthy Indian businessman. Her father is fiercely protective and doesn't warm up to the idea of this man becoming his son-in-law right away. It takes time and effort before the reluctant patriarch finally gives his blessing, all while the cop's original mission hangs in the background.
