Adiós Buenos Aires (2023)

November 2001, Buenos Aires. The peso is collapsing, and Julio Färber, the magnetic bandoneon player of the working-class tango quintet 'Vecinos de Pompeya', is drowning. Between shrinking gig fees and the struggling shoe shop he inherited, his savings are evaporating. Just as he resolves to abandon his beloved city for good, fate slams the brakes: the government freezes every bank account overnight, grounding his escape and igniting riots across the streets. Then Mariela, a sharp-tongued cab driver with a lead foot, rear-ends his car—destroying his last prized possession—before careening straight into his heart.
