The group successfully arrives at Victor's Base, where Selly works on mending Victor while linking his engine to Kay’s. At the same time, Duck enjoys skating across a frozen lake, only to be startled as the ice unexpectedly melts and the water disappears! Meanwhile, Alf and Duke investigate the mysterious phenomenon and set off to uncover its origin.
