After a show, Sukeroku stumbles home drunk, a girl on each arm. Whether it’s work or pleasure, he glides through life without a hitch. Kikuhiko finds it irritating, but underneath the annoyance is envy—while Sukeroku takes everything in stride, Kikuhiko struggles with rehearsal and starts doubting his own talent. Is rakugo really for him? Just as that question lingers, he runs into Miyokichi, who flashes a sly grin and pulls him along into the night.
