Tonotsugu Taira, the successor of Denki Taira, receives a command from Emperor Fuji III of Yamato to travel to Kanazawa alongside Goh Sugoh, the Right Lieutenant General of the Borderland General Corps. Tonotsugu sees the mission as a promising chance, but Sugoh grows wary, suspecting it might be a carefully laid trap orchestrated by Seii.
