On June 30, 2008, the lifeless bodies of Tom and Jill Estes are discovered behind a dumpster in Festus, MO, leaving authorities perplexed. Their investigation takes a turn when a receipt uncovers CCTV footage featuring a blood-soaked suspect. As the case unfolds, a string of murders comes to light, indicating a dangerous killer on the loose. The police race against time to apprehend the perpetrator before he claims more victims.
