On November 7, 1881, condemned killer Sam Edwards awaits his execution by hanging. In a desperate bid to save him, his brother John resorts to kidnapping Harris and holding him for ransom. John's drastic actions are fueled by his determination to prevent Sam from facing the noose, setting off a tense chain of events that will test loyalties and morals.
