The CSIs find themselves in a tense predicament as they delve into a drug heist that also threatens their own reputations. A police convoy transporting confiscated narcotics to an incinerator is intercepted by thieves, leading to the tragic death of the driver and a critical injury to Speedle, who was in the passenger seat. As the investigation unfolds, Horatio grapples with painful memories of his brother's death in a similar incident. Tensions rise further when Internal Affairs suspects one of the team may have leaked information to the criminals, complicating their efforts to solve the crime.
